Quilts for Victoria’s Bushfire Victims

We had a working bee last Tuesday making quilt-as-you-go strip quilts for the people who lost everything in the Black Saturday fires on February 7th.

We made gazillions of blocks and assembled two quilts.  Here’s Di holding up the first one.

We did some more on Thursday too.  Friday saw Pam and Fran pinning a quilt with two more strippy quilts laid out on the back wall ready for the Saturday volunteers to assemble them.

We’ll be doing them this coming Tuesday 24th.  If you’d like to contribute on this or any other day, please let us know on 07 4663 1193 – you’ll be very welcome!

Last Tuesday’s Show and Tell

Here’s Pam’s quilt for a grandson featuring a motorbike print.

And Shirley’s quilt made from her birthday blocks……

And some “Ribbon Twist” blocks made in our “Dollar Block” class in the morning.

This Tuesday we’re making quilts for the bushfire victims.  Di’s coming over to show us her strippy Quilt As You Go technique……
